Julie Martin, MA, LPC Julie Martin is the Executive Director and primary therapist for Kairos Coaching & Counseling. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of North Carolina and specializes in individual and couples therapy. Her counseling experience includes case management for the AIDS Outreach Center in Ft. Worth, TX, and for Bethany Christian Services in Cheyenne, WY, acute-care for Carolinas Medical Center-Behavioral Health Center in Charlotte, and individual/marital therapy with Agape Christian Counseling. Group therapy experiences include addiction, grief/loss, self-esteem and family of origin issues. In addition, she served as the Director of Community Care for Mecklenburg Community Church for six years where she provided crisis counseling, developed classes and programs, and counseled over 70 couples for premarital therapy. Julie is currently serving a broad spectrum of clients. Among her areas of expertise are premarital counseling, sexual abuse, anxiety, depression, marriage, parenting, ADHD, Aspergers Syndrome, relationships, and spiritual issues. Although she has extensive experience in Christian Counseling, Julie accepts clients of all religious faiths and does not incorporate spirituality into the therapeutic process unless asked to do so. Her approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help clients effectively address personal life challenges. She integrates complementary methodologies and techniques to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client. With compassion and understanding, she works with each individual to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing. In addition to psychotherapy, Julie is a Director for the Prepare-Enrich program and conducts workshops for pastors and church leaders who would like to be trained in this counseling tool.
