Addiction

Addiction is a significant multifaceted problem in our society.  Chances are that if you are not struggling with an addiction yourself, you are affected by the addiction of a loved one.  Addiction is a medical disease that cannot be overcome with willpower.  When someone is addicted to a substance or a behavior, their brain chemistry has been changed such that abruptly stopping causes varying degrees of withdrawal, some of which require hospitalization to monitor.

Some of the substances/behaviors that we have experience in treating include:

  • alcohol
  • prescription drugs
  • pornography/sex
  • love/relationship
  • food
  • gambling
  • internet
