Julie Martin is the Executive Director and primary therapist for Kairos Coaching and Counseling. She is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in the state of North Carolina and specializes in individual and couples therapy.



Her counseling experience includes:

  • Case Management for the Aids Outreach Center in Forth Worth, TX.

  • Pregnancy counseling for Bethany Christian Services in Cheyenne, WY.

  • Individual / Marital therapy with Agape Christian Counseling in Charlotte, NC.

  • Acute-care for Atrium Healthcare's Behavioral Health Call Center as well as their Adult Inpatient Psychiatric units in Charlotte, NC.

  • Director of Community Care for a large church in Charlotte, providing crisis counseling, and individual / group therapy centered on the issues of addiction, grief / loss, self-esteem and family of origin issues.



Julie is currently serving a broad spectrum of clients. Among her areas of expertise are:

She is 1 of only 2,200 counselors nationwide to hold the distinction of Certified Sex Addiction Therapist which makes her uniquely qualified to treat Sex, Pornography and Love Addiction. Julie is trained in the use of EDMR- Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing- to treat trauma, phobias, grief, depression and anxiety.



Her approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help clients effectively address personal life challenges. She integrates complementary methodologies, including cognitive-behavioral therapy, psychodrama, EMDR, and group therapy experiences to offer a high personalized approach tailored to each client. With compassion and understanding, Julie works with each individual to help them build on their strengths and to attain the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing.
